Javier Fernández Carrera
Partner
Lawyer, graduate of the University of Concepcion (Chile). Master’s in Business Law with a specialisation in Maritime and Transport Law, University of Aix Marseille (France), with distinction. In 2022, obtained a university certificate in arbitration from Universite Paris-Saclay (France), with highest honours.
Author of two books on transport law and several specialised publications on maritime, insurance, and environmental law in various Chilean and international legal journals. Currently teaches arbitration law in the Master’s in Private Law programme at the University of Concepcion.

Mario Arrué Zamora

Lawyer, graduate of the University of Chile, Valparaiso campus. Diplomas in International Maritime Transport and Insurance Law (University of Chile, Valparaiso), and in Business Law (Universidad Adolfo Ibanez).
Served at the Chilean National Customs Service from 1976 to 2010, including as Head of the Legal and Administrative Advisory Department (2002-2003) and Deputy Director of Auditing (2003-2010). Since 2011, customs consultant for the International Monetary Fund.
Expert in Customs Law and International Trade. Fluent in Spanish and English.
Felipe Herrera Valenzuela

Lawyer, graduate of Universidad de los Andes. Master’s in Law with a specialisation in Tax Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Worked over seven years as a lawyer for the Chilean Treasury, serving in both the Santiago West Regional Office and the Los Lagos Regional Office.
His professional focus includes tax law, corporate law, real estate law, and litigation.
Member of the International Fiscal Association (Chile). Fluent in Spanish and English.
Sebastian Apara Reineking

Lawyer, graduate of Universidad de los Andes (Chile), with a specialisation in Business Law. Diplomas in General Civil Liability Law (Universidad de los Andes) and in Law of the Sea and Maritime Law (Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaiso).
His practice focuses on maritime law, insurance law, and related litigation and arbitration. He also advises companies on labour and administrative law.

Maximiliano Diaz Bustos

He also completed a traineeship focused on complex litigation at Manriquez Benavides & Cia.
